iceberg lettuce finely chopped
crisp bacon crumbled
fresh spinach chopped
radicchio (not too much) chopped
hearts of palm chopped
green olives chopped
red onion chopped
hard cooked egg chopped
fresh mushrooms chopped
crumbled bleu cheese (not too much)
croutons crushed
Lemon Basil Dressing
fried onion rings canned
Combine all chopped ingredients with Lemon Basil dressing. Pack lightly into a cylindrical mould, such as a can or plastic container. Upend on salad plate and garnish with fried onion rings and cherry tomatoes.
Lemon Basil Dressing:
2 tablespoons Pommery mustard
freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon
6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
16 basil leaves, very thinly sliced
coarse salt, to taste
freshly ground pepper, to taste
Combine in a small jar; cover, and shake well. For a creamier texture, mix in a blender.
